Is it normal i cant get any odd job work?

I put up a bunch of flairs to do odd jobs and gotten nothing. Its for walking dogs, baby sitting, office work and cleaning houses. There is a lot of people in the neighborhood and a lot of kids and animals. Its been a month and I have gotten nothing at all. I heard this is what people do when they cant find actual work so I thought it would be easy. Is there something I am doing wrong?

    Try going door to door. I don't read flyers on poles or the grocery store bulletin boards. If someone isn't home leave a flyer at their front door.

    It might help to put up fliers rather than send up flairs.

    Hard to tell without seeing the notices you put up and what others are around in your area, but if they contained such errors as flairs for flyers that might have something to do with it.

    Could you get someone to give you some pointers on how to design an eyecatching flyer with correct wording? Did you state what rates of pay you'd be charging? When I've done this in the past seeking cleaning work, I put a row at the bottom of the notice with my phone number and "cleaning" so people can tear them off & leave the main notice intact, and I've sometimes had phone calls years later from people who've been carrying them around all that time.

    You probably won't get babysitting without a police check, because most people don't let strangers look after their kids or walk their dogs, ditto letting a stranger into their home to clean. If you have no experience or references in any of these areas it's going to be very hard for you to get this sort of work.

    Good luck anyway, but you may need to try for a while before you get anything

      I did not have any errors. I checked that before I wrote it. Also its really bright and colorful so it gets peoples attention. I did consider the strip thing perhaps I should try making more with that approach. I just put everything as negotiable. Negotiable hours and pay rate. Also I already volenteerly had a police check as you need one to get stuff like a guard card and other type of certificates like that.

        Well maybe it's just a matter of time then? You may find that once you do a good job for one person, you'll get more work by word of mouth.
