Is it normal i deeply hate myself for being american?

I hate myself a lot, but most of that is from my being American. I'm from the US, obviously. It's just so bad.

We have such a huge amount of stupid people, and everybody hates us for it. Our politics are like watching two chimpanzees fight, with no way to intervene.

We are very hating of so many things, and we have horrible education ways, and everything is fueled by money. We have a fuckton of school shootings and so many people here are fat, stupid, or both.

However, we also (mostly) have easy access to things like food and water, and we are not unsafe, mostly. We are also very advanced with the ways of medicine, and we have the hope to become anything, I guess.

Am I justified for hating myself because I was born in this hellhole? I want to move away from here.

    Every country has its problems. I’m not American but I wholeheartedly believe that the USA is the best country on earth and I want to be able to move there one day.

    It's a shitstorm for sure, but hating yourself for the luck of being born anywhere is just as dunb as being proud of wherever you had the luck of being born.

    Contrary to what many people on here, who seemingly have never experienced much of the real world, think...it's not super simple to just immigrate. If it's really what you want, good luck with it. It's an expensive journey, filled with a lot of boring bureaucracy.

    All the stupidity is because we have easy access to food and water and are generally not unsafe. If we had a war or famine, that would probably cause a temporary decrease in the stupidity of America.

      I've got to agree with my nemesis, Clunk42, on this one. The good news is that frigid subzero winter weather causes enough survival stress to weed out those without the wits to survive an ice age. You could move to a cold northern state that borders Canada. The people are a lot smarter there.

    It's normal since we all have a tendency to blame ourselves for things but you have no reason to feel bad here. It's not your fault what other people are doing, you have as much control over what other Americans do/believe as you do over what people from any other countries do/believe. Just focus all the good things that you can do, that's all you can do.
