Is it normal i do better in class when i have a crush on the teacher?

Everyday, I look forward to coming to the last class of the day. Not because I like the subject, but because I have a crush on the teacher. The teacher I have a crush on is about thirty, and I like him a lot. He's not exactly that attractive, but I like him because he's nerdy and smart. I do best in that class because I really like the teacher and I feel obligated to get better grades in that class. I never flirt with the teacher, because that's just plain creepy, but I respect him way more than any other teachers I have. I'm just wondering if it's weird to do better in class just because I have a crush on my teacher.

That happens. I remember I had a hot teacher who was funny and cool and I listened to EVERYTHING he said. I also wanted to do really well on my assignments so he'd like me better...and maybe even think I was a genius and fall in love with me.
Never happened. But I do know about European history.

Think about it. You do better in a class where you take an interest in the person speaking. Shocking!

When I was in school I had a huge crush on my Biology teacher and my Business Economics teacher. They were absolutely gorgeous and I got A+ in both those classes always. My Biology teacher wore g-strings.
Also did not show that I like them but it doesn't hurt to look and admire

I think this applies to everyone in the same situation. This is most-likely because you want to catch said teacher's attention with the amount of work you complete/progress you make in their class..

i can't comment on how normal it is but if it seems to be helping then what's the big deal?

Will say me too. Hot helps the attention to focus. So rewarding.

  • I always do better when I like the boss/teacher/tutor and much better if I have a crush on them. It's just natural. It's gives you motivation. There have been times when I've flunked something I'm really good at because I hated the teacher.

Teacher's who had a great personality and were thorough in their work made me do better in their classes. Some were attractive but weren't as thorough in teaching to make me do well.

That's really sad. You should want to do your best in school regardless of how you feel about your teaching.
