Is it normal i don't believe in unplanned pregnancy?

I heard yet another, otherwise intelligent woman describing her life path.
She was dating and later married a man she met, after they found out she was pregnant.
I try to be polite.
I bite my tongue A LOT.
but, STUPID BITCH!
As if ANY adult educated woman has an ' unplanned ' baby.
How stupid are you?
If you're a woman and have sex without some type of protection.
You will get pregnant.
De De De.
Dumbass.

For a lied to man, yes. 6
For any intelligent adult female, no. 8
For rape victims, yes. 8
For a child that hasn't been taught sex ed, yes. 5

And everyone has said that pregnancies can occur even with protection. Your question does not allow for that. It allows for the binary of a) "Unplanned" pregnancy due to negligence and/or lack of intelligence (ironic...) and b) Use protection, no pregnancy will result.

You always word your questions poorly and fail to understand what you write, (and what others write unless it suits you). When your only communication method is words, as it is online, it is YOUR job to make sure you communicate your ideas effectively, not ours. You failing to hit the mark every time then tantruming about it speaks very loudly as to your own education and intelligence levels.

        Silly, silly terrence.

          Well said.
          Not well thought out.
I am simply saying that for an educated adult woman to claim that her pregnancy was a surprise.
Is B.S. 99% of the time.
          Birth control works.
          Very rarely does it fail.
How is this even an arguement?
          Numbers don't lie.
          Look at statistics.
Properly used, birth control is very effective.
          So these accidents...
          Aren't.

  • Condoms break and that 1% in birthcontrol can still happen. Some do use protection but it doesn’t 100% always work. I myself use a secondary substitute just to be extra sure I don’t pop out a mistake. I’m far from ready to even consider one. Those who don’t use anything and act like it was a unplanned thing did have it comming but don’t go judging them all.

That's pretty much the definition of trying to get pregnant.
So don't act surprised when it happens.

No different then the crackheads that get pets, then drops the litters along the roadside.
I don't have ANYTHING against the child.
I sures hell didn't get to choose the woman I was born to.
But I do hold adult educated women with birth control options in a western society liable for their actions.
We have access to birth control.
              It works, really well.

I wasn't planned. My first wasn't planned... Not everyone regrets having a baby. And it's also REALLY hard to "plan" to have a baby. They come when they come. People have been doing it since people existed. It's nothing to be upset about.

Sex without protection IS PLANNING TO GET PREGNANT.
      TRYING in fact.

I hear what you are rambling about throughout and while i dont necessarily agree with you, i see your contention. However, your best suumation statement for your position is, in my opinion, "Sex without protection IS PLANNING TO GET PREGNANT." While I dont agree with that statement, I think the argument that I would make is, sex without protection, IS WILLING TO ACCEPT THE CONSEQUENCES IF THEY GET PREGNANT.

Based off the rest of the replies, no one understands what you're getting at. Most babies are unplanned. Once again, that's ok. We have a uterus that's sole purpose is to make babies. Even when we ovulate ( most people don't notice) women are WAY hornier.

I just looked at your poll. It only has a few responses. Because is kinda sucks.

If you look at the statistics then yes, some people aren't using contraception, or aren't using it properly, and I agree that this is pretty stupid. If everyone used condoms plus hormonal or long acting contraception then there would be very few unplanned pregnancies. But they would still occur. It's just basic math that they would still occur because no contraception is 100% effective. And even someone who abstains from sex could get raped or something.

So I think a lot of unplanned pregnancies are people being stupid, but to say that all unplanned pregnancies are people being stupid makes you sound stupid too. It's not statistically possible.

Also, hats off to the women in those situations who choose to keep the baby. Please don't call them stupid because they've done nothing wrong and faced up to their mistakes like adults.

It's almost like humans have signs that show they are pregnant and know how cause and effect work. Two people do it and if one isnt infertile they could have a baby as a result. If you are concerned about a baby double the birth control: condoms, and birth control, pull out if you want to increase it. Or abstinence if you want to he 100% and weird.

Theres no sure way of having sex without the risk of pregnancy. Contraception reduces the chance but it's still there the one sure way to not become pregnant or get STIs is to not have sex. So if you think unplanned pregnancy or getting pregnant by accident is a thing...then think of this you had sex dummie. Sex leads to fetus...didn't think I had to write that one out for ya

      2 yes, it can fail.
3 Using no prevention is in essence, trying to get pregnant.
