Is it normal i don't think i have ever had period cramps

For the longest time I thought period cramps were higher and bilateral, due to where the pain is before my period (above the outside of the hip bones). Found out recently that is intestinal cramps(?). They can be very painful though, sometimes have woken me from sleep. I also get migraines and cystic acne before my period.

Some women I've told get mad or act like "you're not a real woman" if you don't get period cramps (I hope they're joking but I'm not sure). This last time I was able to prevent any pain and discomfort altogether through running (I don't do it regularly but that time I felt an urge). And this time my 1st day was completely liquid blood (why is that?)

I kind of hope I am infertile or something (due to having a major fear that has prevented me from making any relationships in my life), but I have never been to a gynecologist yet. I'm in my late 20s.

  • You don’t need pain to be a real women I’m sure they were kidding cause that’s weird to say and mean it. They’re probably just saying that in a jealous kidding way. You are lucky tho you’re not missing out on anything fun. My skins clear but right before I may out of nowhere gain a tiny bit of acne that’s normal although for me it’s not often would happen more when I was younger. I’ve heard excersize does help it. Sometimes on my first day I’m to weak to run and do stuff but times I push through it and still do a lot of walking and stuff I notice it’s less pain or that the pain doesn’t last as long. I also don’t want kids but some guys don’t either. You can find one with simular interests not all care to have them. I haven’t seen a gyne yet either and for the most part you seem normal to me some girls just are lucky and don’t have experience it as bad.

      • You can do what I do I have ocella and also use condoms. Pretty sure I have no chance this way. I’ve tried without but used spermicide just to have something else in case. I really don’t want one or at least I’m definitely not ready yet. So I get pretty paranoid with the protection but my boyfriend understands he wouldn’t want a kid yet so has no problem with it. But he does want kids and I’ll probably end up having them just not anytime soon. Also if you find one who doesn’t want them either you can always get fixed or he can.

You are one lucky mamma... the first day doesn’t have to be non liquid and if you would go to gyne, they could tell you all about this stuff better than any of us could.

        Gynecologist, go to one.
I know it’s easier said than done, (still have to schedule my ultrasound) but it’s worth it.
