Is it normal i got sick over this

In 2015 I liked someone and I wanted to be her friend so bad. I told her how I feel and she said she feels the same way about me. When I found out she lied, I threw up. Is it normal that I threw up just because I got rejected? I also lost my appetite and I got severe depression.

I am fine now. I don't find this lady particularly interesting anymore. But I am still concerned that this happened, and I am a little worried it will happen again.

I don't think it's terribly abnormal, I think the nauseating thing is not the rejection per se, but the lying. The lying is a betrayal and humiliation, I think that's what's most sickening. I'm sorry this happened to you, I really am.

    • I agree. I got rejected before and I was just disappointed, not completely devastated. Thank you for this comment.

I agree with Rose. Lying is probably the lowest thing that you can do to anyone. We should all be totally honest at all times.

No, just too lazy to say the same thing someone else already said, and not egocentric enough to be unable to credit another with a good post.
