Where do you live that they let you follow people around in orphanages? Regardless, you should talk to a doctor about your depression.

Yes both of them are good suggestions or you could actually just kill yourself seen as you are pretty much a waste of space.

You said things felt lonely and suicidal..(not saying they aren't normal for a lot of people)..but your habits are destructive. Having been in mental health nursing (and not a doctor)..I do have advice..but have to tell you that even if you consult a doctor..you may continue to have issues..you just have to keep working through.

Try some/all of these..and again, don't obsess about anything..roll with punches/adapt..everyday is a little different..and some days are more stressful than others: deep breathing..air is free and hopefully healthy if it isn't too polluted..very beneficial..do that instead of one of your other habits. Also, try thought reversal or replacement..meaning, say the opposite of negative or sexually offensive thoughts to yourself..to see what you come up with..ideally, life/memories of the past should be as positive/constructive as possible..teach the people around you about this one too..most of them may be struggling also with various issues (not saying all of them)...that's reversal..replacement is just making up helpful thoughts to think instead of whatever you are in the habit of thinking..instead of "A line of cocaine will relieve tension," say, "Wow, I'm ready for a little nap."..or something similarly constructive. ..keep the positives flowing..no matter how many times you have to reverse or replace..then they will be automatic after a while..or you won't feel like you have to reverse or replace as often hopefully. Try CAPS..Compliment, Ask, Act positive, Smile...don't obsess about it..especially when you don't want to attract attention or someone is in a bad mood..use it as an icebreaker when you think it could help. Be assertive and polite also about your needs...associate with polite people. The aggressive people only care about themselves..the sad, self-absorbed people..don't internalize all their grief. Get away from the really manipulative, nasty people..they are digging their own bad reputations. Peace and best wishes. Meditate on healthy things..not sick things.

Oh, and verbally..stick up for yourself..part of being assertive! ..especially whenever anyone puts you down..I don't care if they are crying and calling you crazy..and acting like it's their fault..(I had a parent like that). Stick up for you..stick up for them..they don't know how to do it for themself yet.

If you're not happy you should talk to your wife. (I know, I know)
