Is it normal i hate the way pro athletes dress?

More and more, pro athletes look like ghetto thugs rather than professionals. Why do many baseball players have to wear their hats down over their ears? Or wear their pants about 3 sizes too long? Chains and necklaces around their necks. Or the bill of their hats flat and straight like the "gangstas" wear them. They look terrible. I remember many years ago, the Cincinnati Reds had a dress code. (Maybe others did too). They looked sharp. No long hair, dreadlocks, and beards. If I owned a business, I'd want my employees to look presentable performing their jobs. I only wish the general managers of pro teams would expect the same. Am I wrong for thinking this way?

Players should be able to dress as they wish. 23

    Hang on just a second there feller, let me whip out my tape measure. Ah hah! As I suspected! This complaint is not long enough! You need to add on several more sentences until it hits just above the knee. And side notes. Where are the side notes to cover up the offensive bicep /armpit area??!?!

    You really shouldn't judge people based on what they wear like that.

    I wish everyone dressed how they wanted. Self-expression is always good.

    Being an Athlete is not about looking pretty. Its not a beauty contest and it never will be. They wear uniforms and often those uniform are to help them function in the sport. I have never once saw a baseball player on the field wearing chains on his neck and I am pretty sure that they would require him to take it off. I have seen football players with dread locks though. Which created an issue during play and they demanded he got rid of them or he could not play. You can say stuff like swimming females look manly but guess what? Its a sport and that body structure is going to make them win a metal. They are not there to impress you without how beautiful you think they are. They are there to compete. However what players wear off field is entire up to them.

    They probably were already into thug culture and when they got signed, they brought it along with them. If I owned a team, I would absolutely hate that. Why can't people look presentable? Why doesn't someone teach them? I guess they don't want to be accused of being racists.

      Maybe. Everything is PC these days, they ban a guy who never hurt anyone but doesn't agree with gays marriage( where is freedom of speech) yet players convicted of crimes like beating their wife or torturing dogs are just fine...

    Don't you think it's kind of pointless to be annoyed with how other people dress? So what if they're on a professional team? That doesn't mean they have an obligation to be restricted to looking plain. Did you forget that it's 2014?

      Kids look up to people like them. Maybe that's why the younger kids wear their pants half way down their ass and act like the world owes them something.
