    It seems you are talking about a usb drive. It's okay to suspect one used by someone else to have virus.

    Use an antivirus software. If you already have one update it regularly.

    I am using Avast Free antivirus since seven years and found no issues and it's almost equal to most paid one's.

    Soon you will be confident with your computer working as virus exterminator.
