Is it normal i have terribly delayed reactions?

I realized I have horribly delayed reactions. Sometimes I dont even process things at all. It tends to be something happens, I get out of the situation, im happy, I go home and 3 weeks later I just kind of realize what actually happened and like "Oh my god, did that seriously happen"? I kind of over-process stuff though and over analyze so I wondering if maybe my brain just takes long to process the information and than react to it. Like I can be almost murdered and I get out of the situation and I am happy and like 3 weeks later I just like in utter shock and like "Oh my god I could have died".

I think you are so i shock when things happen that your brain just have to shut down so that you can make it out alive. And when the brain knows its out of danger it lets you know what happened.

It maybe so. You know when i do something really embarrassing in public, like say something i shouldn't and i know there and then i shouldn't say that...but i dont feel anything after saying it other that what i said was odd. But when i come home or even couple of days later i feel so embarrassed that put my head under a pillow due to all shame i feel.

I tend to be like that with obvious things. It's silly because I'm usually pretty quick with stuff that a lot of other people wouldn't notice or catch on to.

My brain seems to have a very slow processor also. I think it's because I didn't get enough stimulation in my early childhood to develop all my neuro pathways. Instead of incoming and outgoing information traveling at breakneck speed on a vast network, everything seems to travel at a leisurely pace on a simple two lane road with very few passing zones.
