Is it normal i hissed at my friend and hugged a stranger?

Not in the same breath, of course. It was two separate things, but I used to do them frequently in elementary. I hissed at this random girl in the hallway, who eventually became my friend because she had to walk me home. I also used to hug the kid of the gas station worker that I liked. Either way, was that a weird thing to do, or was that just normal kid stuff?
