I by no means think all Muslims are terrorist nor do I support violence against them but I do hope more and more will de convert. Hopefully enough will do so that the religion will be all but extinct. I don't know how likely this is, but it's certainly better than the alternative, I'm especially scared for Britain right now.

The Islamification of Europe is now unstoppable. For decades, secularism has ruled the continent and created a religious vacuum. Islam is filling it. Fanaticism is an enduring problem for Muslims. They will have to become more moderate and teach tolerance for democratic governments to continue to work.
Muslims will never establish much of a foothold in the US. That's because dumb ass Christian fundamentalists have already filled the religious vacuum. Religion may have been a catalyst to create civilization, but it is the bane of enlightened reason, science, and freedom of expression.
I don't think secularism leads to a religious vacuum. What's needed is a stronger defense of secularism by people who should be defending it the hardest (the left, politically).
This can still be turned around, but it's going to take honesty about Islam's political component, not more attempts at denying Islam has problems. It is being done, by a growing ex-Muslim movement and secular/liberal Muslims, but they are not being given the platforms and support they need by The Left. If you can promote their narratives more, you can popularise a secularist reform movement among people of Muslim background.
And that is a far better and more peaceful resolution to the issue than voting in some far-Right demagogue, who is just going to turn our once-liberal countries into fascist shitholes long before "Islamification" can happen.
Your argument is very encouraging. But, I am not sure the growing ex-Muslim secular movement has the momentum it needs to pacify the radicals. In a sense, these Islamic radicals are suffering from an identity crisis. The ones that think emotionally and are prone to drama kind of snap.
After a generation of assimilation, Europe will be in better shape. But your idea is none-the-less impressive. If some kind of social engineering can accelerate the propagation of the mind set you are suggesting, we will all be in better shape.

Well, my answer to that is to just remember how Christianity used to be - basically the same. We went through (unfortunately) centuries of barbaric violence, blasphemy laws, and what could be described as "terror" before we got to where we are today.
I almost view it as it being Islam's "turn" now. Like Christianity, it has to go through a de-politicisation and separation from the state in countries where it has state power, before this tribal violence is going to stop. It needs to become merely a personal belief, and one which most followers cherry pick rather than take literally.
It's not really my ideas so there's nothing to "expect" from me. This is something everyone can help though, it's as small as promoting the message of ex-Muslims and reformist practicing ones like Maajid Nawaz more (look for talk of "secularism" and "reform", that's the language these people tend to use). This isn't going to happen overnight, but I genuinely believe it can change. People just have to stop with this learned helplessness attitude to it.

I agree with you. Even as a proud democrat, I agree that Islam is a dangerous religion. It encourages violence, promotes the mistreatment of women, and supports oppression. Honestly, I wholeheartedly agree that it would be better if they all just gave up their faith.
Terrorism is no more common today than it was in the 70s and 80s when the IRA were doing their attacks. Understand that.
What has changed is the response and the media, which (as horrendous as terror attacks are) sensationalise these events and make them seem so much more immediate and bigger. When an attack happens now in The West, every international news station jumps on it and every random halfwit starts ranting about it on social media. The result is, we act like society just collapsed over a few people getting murdered (which happens every single day, just usually not in one event like that).
Of course, terrorism is horrible, I'm not saying we shouldn't be concerned. We definitely should be having honest conversations about Islam's political component, because yes, terror IS linked to that. Until Islam secularises and gets it's politcal power stripped away, this is going to keep happening. It doesn't come from nowhere. What I'm saying is though, we need to have some scope and perspective, and not jump to knee-jerk emotional reactions every time this happens (which is typically either denying there's anything wrong with Islam or, opposite extreme, acting like every single Muslim has an agenda. Neither help.).
There are specific parts in the Quran stating that those who do not love Allah shall be stricken at their necks. Why do you think they love beheading Christians? Their religion is pure evil.

Read my question again. I said I know that not all Muslims are terrorist, and I don't support violence against them. By "die out" I meant enough deconversion that it'll be an old religion, like the myths of the past. Plus Muslim/Islam is not a race, I don't know where that nonsense started but it's false.
Christianity used to be extremely violent and insidious, but was dragged kicking and screaming into modernity and had to reform itself.
Islam can be reformed, too. Get rid of the doctrines that enable the ideology of ISIS, like martyrdom in defense of Islam giving you a ticket into heaven no matter how much evil you have done.
It would still suck and retard human progress (like all dogmatic, revealed, faith-based religions) but would be much less terrible.
