Is it normal i like to hurt trees?

When I go up to Wisconsin (which is often btw), I like to whittle sticks. The thing that is weird though is that I can only whittle the stick if I have just broken it off a tree. Sometimes I will break off tree branches just for fun. I have successfully broken off all the branches from a growing 5ft pine tree. Is this normal?

Well nothing wrong with whittleing. But... you might not want to go around just ripping tree branches off...seems a bit needless a cruel.
remember we need them for oxygen.

Destroying trees is normal human behavior. Breaking all the branches off a small tree "for fun" indicates some desire to inflict damage on something that cannot defend itself. If this expands to take in animals, they will send you in for a mental evaluation. Whittling fresh wood is preferred for certain kinds of woodwork as green wood whittles differently than dead fall or seasoned wood does. But if taking the branches off a tree because you want to feel dominant over it is what is getting you off, you should talk to a therapist because you are probably trying to resolve feelings that you are not in control of anything at other times and that can tend to get worse over time.

You are nothing. Lumberjacks commit forest atrocities every day. The sawdust pays tribute to the horror of it all.

You're destroying all of that plant's effort. At least, used the wood for something. Pine needles make a very good mulch.

At least do something constructive with the wood.
