Is it normal i like to mix cheap whiskey with my cheap beer?

Every so often, I like to crack open an ice-cold PBR and take a few sips. Then, I pour some whiskey (typically Old Crow) into the can and mix it up. It's not that good, but it has a distinct flavor that sometimes does the trick.
