Is it normal i like to rent movies but i never return them on time.

Yea, I've always liked to rent movies but I never return them on time. A long time ago I built over a $200 late fee bill at Hollywood Video. Netflix was good for me but I got pissed at them once and canceled it. Now I always rent Red Box but of course it takes me 4 or 5 days to watch the movies.

Oh man if you were around back in the day I bet you would have totally disregarded the sticker on all the videos. Yes I said videos. "Be kind, rewind". You people probably don't know what rewind means in terms of movies. Hahaha young people.....

Haha:D I know what you mean. But I never rewinded them :D Yet, I always got pissed when I recieved a tape that wasn't already rewinded.

I used to work with kids, and we'd sometimes show them movies on VHS. Some of them actually asked me why the movie hadn't started yet while I was rewinding.

Haha pretty funny I had to Google that and I only came out four years ago. Never heard of it. I'm talking 1993 secretly watching faces of death and last house on the left, among others. No I was not supposed to be watching them that's why I was. Then I rewound them and returned them....late. videos man. Hey who remembers the Walkman??? For cassette tapes?!?!?! Anyone!!?!?! Why am I time traveling like this??? ........sorry about all that :D I have my moments......often.

I remember walkman. I still have mine :D I still have some old tape cassettes, too, that I managed to find in my closet. And then when they first came out with the CD ones everyone thought it was cool, but they were uber expensive (I was one of the first to have one xD).

Faces of death scarred me for life. I feel uneasy right now just thinking about it.

They didn't phase me at all when i was younger. These days its hard for me to watch some of that stuff. I have empathy now.

Before DVD, there was VHS. When the movie would end, you had to rewind all the way back to the beginning. When renting a tape, it would be considered common courtesy to rewind before returning it.

Why are you asking if it's normal... You just don't return movies. It's not important and I think you can answer your own question

    Why not renew them?

I do this allllllllllllll the time! I'm so used to having late fee's I just assume I'm going to have to pay an extra $3-5 bucks whenever I go get videos. Cause luckily my rental place lets me put a little on it every time instead of paying it all at once. Once they even had a thing going on where if you went into the store and sang them a song they'd wipe out your late fees, you better believe I jumped on that!

I don't think it's legal to charge late fees that are more than the cost of the movie itself.... most places will just charge you the cost of replacing the movie.

    Think about it this way.

It is actually more normal than you think, if it wasnt. Businesses would not make the wise and frugal decision to charge late fees.

You may need to start a Netflix account again, that way you can stream the movies to your TV. No late fees! Why did you cancel in the first place? Anyway, unless you like paying a massive late fee, make sure to return all your movies back when they're supposed to be back...or don't rent them at all! Furthermore, if you feel it's gonna take you a few days to watch your movies, then maybe you should rent one at a time...I'm sure you can watch ONE in a day!
