Is it normal i'm a straight dude who's obsessed with my hair?

I appreciate hair generally. Great hair on a girl can hugely bump up my attraction towards her. Heck, playing with certain girls' hair sometimes is a turn on

I don't know if that is why I excessively take care of my own hair, but:

- I overpay for haircuts (highest has been $60)
- I have my own self done egg, yoghurt, vinegar, hot oil, treatments in the past. Currently, I only do hot oil once in a blue moon
- I used to flat-iron my hair for a long time until I stopped 2 years ago.
- Today I just tried the no-shampoo method (baking soda etc etc) which made me realize...

is this normal?

    I think hair is an incredibly good way to express yourself. It has so many advantages. A haircut lies in the happy medium between permanency and temporariness; you can change and adapt it easily, unlike a tattoo, but a change can still last long enough to give the satisfaction of a commitment, unlike make-up. There are almost no limits to what you can do with it; there are as many styles as you can imagine and as many colours as there are in the visible spectrum. Unlike clothes, you hair is actually a part of your body so changing it is really changing *you*.

    Hair is often the first thing I notice about a person's appearance. I might not remember a person's clothes once they leave the room, and I might not be able to articulate my memory of the features on their face or the shape of their body, but I will definitely remember what colour hair they had and how long it was and something about the style of it, even if it wasn't unusual or remarkable. Hair is special, I think. It's normal to be take an interest in your own and making sure it represents you in the way you want it to :)

    youre not gay, youre just vain. which is probably even worse!
    lol just kidding...but a lot of women don't like vanity in a guy so either find one who doesn't mind or hide the fact . In nature usually the male of the species is the showy one but in humans its become the norm for women. These days there is no 'norm' so its all good I guess.

    Hair is awesome, I love my hair and hair in general...I want to get the hair the Winter Soldier has in the new Captain America movie, because when I seen it I was just thought it was awesome.

    Personally I dont think its normal, but that might be because Im prior military and just shave my head. I do know a guy thats obsessed with his own hair though. He spends an obscene amount of time on hishair and gets pissed when anyone touches it, which of course makes it funny when everyone is drunk and tries to touch his hair and he runs away like a girl.
