Is it normal i´m afraid of my own room

I´m so afraid of my own room. A few days ago suddenly everything was so scary to me. But just in the night. I don´t want to sleep in there alone. When friends are there to spend the night with me everything is alright. It´s not that my stuff seems scary to me or something i just have a terrible fear of my room. Wierd is that other dark rooms don´t fear me.In my room i allways think somebody is watching me. is it paraonia?

I used to be like this. When I was 14 my family moved and I was finally able to get my own room. I had to sleep with the light on the first night because I was afraid. After that day I made myself get used to being alone in my room in the dark. So if you're 14 or 15.. it's normal.

This only happens to me after I watch a scary movie. I don't like to go near windows. Also my dad scared the shit out of me by telling me to keep my windows locked and the blinds closed because there are sick people out there that would look through my window. I'm not afraid of the dark, I used to be when I was like 11 and 12. Now I hate sleeping with people.. My husband is gonna hate me lmfao

People get scared for lots of reasons. so YES its normal to get scared (if your human) If its from watching scary movies STOP WATCHING THEM. Think happy thoughts this should help you block out the scary thoughts. Dont go to bed with a head full of worries. Play a cd that you really like it should help. Buy a lava lamp a little light in the room should help. Get a pet a cat to snuggle at your feet or a dog to protect you at night. Keep a hard object near you if an intruder enters your room you can use that object as self-defence. If you have a tv in your room watch it until you just fall asleep. Hope any of these can help you sleep better in your room. :)

I get this from time to time. I suspect there is some sort of entity/ghost/spirit or something from a different dimension and it creeps me out. I tell it to leave bcuz i can't deal with that.
