Is it normal i'm afraid to take a shower w/ my back to the door?

Ever since I watched PSYCHO as a kid, I never feel safe taking a shower with my back to the door or with eyes closed. I keep imagining someone coming with a knife at me.
Am I weird?

    Movies like that can leave a lasting impression. That was part of Hitchcock's genius.

      I am not scared of the movie when I watch it but this shower thing bothers me.

    I'm the same way... Because of Psycho too. And I hate the window in my shower (garden apartment).

    Yeah. I used to have a weird fear of bathroom sinks after watching the Chamber of Secrets as a kid, thinking that a big ass snake could have come out and killed me. Even today, I still feel weird if I want to wash my face at midnight.

    Our brains pick the weirdest things for us to be irrationally afraid of.

    I've seen better quality videos taken with iPhone cameras than that film.
