Is it normal i'm worried that i am going to be left behind in technology

I no longer use social media, I don't buy anything online for fear of disclosing my bank account details, being scammed, identity theft etc, I still buy cd's and dvd's, I don't watch alot of television, I have a basic mobile phone which does not support apps and I am simply not interested in apps and allowing something to do the thinking for me simply because it's convenient and innovative.
But I am fearful because the world is growing increasingly dependent on the internet, we're already seeing grass roots businesses closing down from internet shopping competition, I see young people who are on a whole different level of understanding about how to apply these tools to their everyday lives, businesses are doing most of their marketing and promotion through the internet and the human social experience in general is becoming increasingly a faceless interaction online. More and more I feel that my choice of holding onto an old fashioned lifestyle, whilst living in a thriving city is really leaving me out of the loop and becoming more difficult to maintain. I really do not want to conform to this digital age but it seems I have no choice.

For those interested in my age, I am in my mid 20's.

I've been scammed online, had to change all my bank cards and get a new account as they said they couldn't do anything! huh :( .So I no longer trust any site and wouldn't want a business that was internet dependant either.

I'm like you, but I guess this new technology is sucking me in. I don't have a credit card, therefore i don't buy things online either. I don't know i miss the old days where you didn't have to post your whole life on the internet..Soon enough technology will take over just like that I Robot movie.(it's already in the process right now)

Unless you have a job dependent on these things, who cares? You've given the corporate marketing people less information with which to stalk you.
