I got new job working at warehouse. They want long term employment. I was looking into military but basically people I am currently staying with say they want me get job before military, or im getting kicked out. I am still waiting on them to do a spiffy since I came from another branch that would not take me for my eyes, but this branch does not care that I am messed up eyes. The warehouse has 12 hour shifts and pays 9 dollar hourly. Its also pretty simple work, like what I use to do as a stocker but in a bigger location. Should I stay with the warehouse a few years till I can retire and quit on the military? Im already in my 20s and its impossible find work right now.

Stay with job till military calls 5
Go military reserves and stay at warehouse 4
Forget military stay with warehouse 3

    Wow, you must be a really frugal dude. You are going to retire in a few years on $9.00 an hour? You've got to write a book.

      This is how the job world works. You work for a few years, and than you can retire with the company. What is so hard to grasp? I just got this job, so it is not like I am retiring tomorrow. Are you dense?

    Well most companies have an "at will" employment policy. That means that either party can terminate employment without a reason. If your boss doesn't like the way you wear your hair they can let you go without a reason. Besides, you should always use your current job to find your next job. Take the warehouse job and look for better employment. Or if the military thing works out, then go to the military. If not, you have a job with an income, you are building experience and that makes you more interesting to prospective employers for your next job. You can get out on your own and you can deal with life face on. You can be a grown up and start to bitch about the useless kids just sitting on their asses.
