Is it normal i pay for every service that will keep my life online ad-free?

Like Spotify and now YouTube? Whatever the price I think it's well worth it in order not to be bombarded with advertisements I have zero interest in? Do you guyses pay or endure annoying ads?

    Ads are more psychologically damaging than most people realise.

      I like the ones that say, "We notice you have an ad blocker..."

      they talk about how it costs to run their website. I give NO shits. If they shut down, some other free site will come up.

    You do know you can get adblock and it's free...
    I just find free ad blockers and addons, scripts, etc and use them.
    I rarely see ads on the sides of websites and I don't get popups.

    Whoever invented pop up ads needs to be fucked sideways with a trident for the rest of their life, constantly, never stopping!!!

    As megadriver said -
    adblock works very well for keeping ads off youtube.

    There is nothing wrong with paying for an ad-free web experience but since you can get it for free, why pay the greedy bastards at youtube? It is like paying the school bully for "protection".

    You CAN donate to adblock if you wish but it is not required.

    Ghostery also exists but it is not as effective.

        There is a cell phone version of both but I tend to spend most of my "screen time" in front of a computer.

        Adblock will take you to a page where it looks like you have to pay but you can exit out of it.

        I have yet to figure out how to properly install adblock/ghostery on my android but then i am not on my phone much except to play youtube music when I am at work.
