I recently realized that nowhere in the Humpty Dumpty Nursery Rhyme does it say that Humpty Dumpty is an egg.

      That would explain why they couldn't put Humpty together again. He didn't break into pieces when he landed, he splattered.

    I've always pictured him as a Frankenstein or zombie dressed like a Friar for some reason. I could never picture him as an egg. lol

    Sshhhh! It's a secret.
    Originally, the nursery rhyme was a riddle. That's why it doesn't tell the reader that Humpty was an egg because that is the answer to why he couldn't be put back together.
