It's not normal but I do the exact same thing. Whenever I get mad to a certain point I just have an impulse to break something or hurt my self. I regret it the millisecond after. I've broke countless controllers, put holes in walls, broken things on my desk, punched, bit, slapped, and even cut my self with a blade. Also pulled my hair out. Whenever I get like that I feel the need to feel some sort of pain to release the anger and I hate it.
dude, just get a fucking stress ball. also, stop taking vidya so seriously. you know you have to be over the age of 18 to use this site, don't you? have a good one.
Well... The urge of destruction in rage caused by games are pretty normal.... The self-harm part isn't, and i truly recommend a better way of releasing your anger
I dunno man, like, how hard are we talking here? Hard enough to do lasting damage? You just gotta think about whether or not you're gonna cause any serious long-term damage to your knees.
So bad that I get bruises. Obviously it's worse the more mistakes I make. I don't think it's causing lasting damage but I wouldn't know. I punch as hard as I can at least 5 times in rapid succession and bite as hard as I can bear until the pain is too much.
I'd say self harm of any kind isn't normal but what do i know i don't hate myself.
Don't take video games so seriously, I recomend watching 'game grumps' or 'hyke the gamer'.
