Is it normal i think it should be illegal to have kids if

You are either a full drug addict or have tried every drug under the sun!!! Its not fair on the children who no doubt will be born with mental issues etc.
I just noticed this guy I used to know from my past who's a total druggy and tried almost every drug under the sun has now just had a kid, poor thing will have mental issues! I would make it illegal to those who are druggies to have children as they'd be serious consequences.

Why do low lifes have children?

Yup drug addicts should never have kids, no kids should be raised in such a traumatic and unhealthy environment!

I don't know about elsewhere in the world but in the UK many families only have multiple children just for the syaye benefits.

Yes there should be conditions to be met in order to be a parent. Yes, being a druggie is absolutely selfish.

Ah, I think it should be illegal to have a kid if you have some catastrophic genetic defect that'll render them a non-verbal wheelchair-bound potato. No way for a child to live. The parents'll say, "oh, he/she's such a happy kid!" Yeah...mouth hanging open, drooling everywhere, limbs pointing every which way.

A lot of idiots will try for another baby because there's a 50-50 chance it won't come out the same. And when it does they whine about it and ask God why. Because you're a selfish prick who needed another another kid for some reason, that's why.

I mean who would even know they have that kind of dormant gene inside of them? It has to be dormant otherwise it would make getting laid hard.

I'm sterile due to my genetics so it's kinda a self solving problem most times. I'm not a retard, above average IQ, definitely not a genius. To be honest I would probably be smarter without my shit genetics but I can still comprehend shit so I dont really fawn over it because I'm not going off of what ifs for the rest of my life.

Well, if they choose to have tests for whatever if there's a family history. Otherwise, you're right, they can't really know until they have a kid with no face or some other awful affliction. But have another kid knowing they might be born with the same condition and you're just a selfish asshole in my opinion.

I mean it could of been a genetic mishap for the first born. People want a normal child. Cant blame them for trying again and your autistic child "tragically" dies in a pool.

I understand that thought, but there are better things to do. Improving education and rehabilitation would make a difference in this. There are some people that sounds never have kids, I agree, but providing that person with a better understanding of the consequences and giving them options of help would do much more good for the world.

My mom got addicted to crack when I was a kid. Good thing I only saw her sparingly. I don't know how long it lasted. Maybe a few months, maybe a few years. That was only the second time she got addicted. First time was in the late 90s, third time was in the late 2000s. She's not on anything right now but my brother told me he found cocaine in her bed like a year ago. Not sure whether to believe him or not.

Government enforced sterilization until you can prove to a court you’re a viable parent.

You can stop doing drugs. Ive done almost every drug but I quit and now I barely ever even drink. Have a healthy son and stay at home wife. Making good money. All is well.

I think the OP is taking troll literally. He thinks that you live under a bridge and eat goats all day.

People live how the want to. Clearly you've grown up enough to recognize your mistakes and seek to correct them, in most standards you are a moral person.

Agreed there should be rules for who gets to be a parent but unfortunately it's impossible to control. Although I think that if someone got out of addiction many years ago and is living a good, healthy life now they shouldn't get discriminated against and punished further for their past by not being allowed to have kids if they want to.

I’m just trying to understand how a dude doing drugs made a child intellectually disabled. Also, sometimes families wind up having children with disabilities and then the parents turn to drugs to cope with the stress. It’s a hard truth.

As much as I hate abortion, killing a fetus that is 100% known to have a mental handicap is borderline ok to do. End the suffering before it can really start.

To a certain extent. But you really can’t judge whether people with handicaps are suffering or not. Most intellectually disabled people don’t even know there’s something wrong with them.

I'm talking about the parents. And the evolving society today where before, you could have a simple job and be self sufficient. But now with mechanization simple jobs are dwindling for those who can only do simple jobs. Our society is requiring smarter and smarter people to get ahead.

All children should be separated from their parents at birth and placed in government run facilities.

I agree, my parents didn't want me and hated me till they died. My childhood if done these days I would have been taken away from them (now 71.)

For the extremely disabled and it's like an out for the parents? Sure. But taking kids forcefully from parents for no actual reason is a good way to get shot.

The only way to unify the country again is to indoctrinate children to one centralized ideology.

Yeah america was never about unifing completely, every decision is looked at from both sides. It's in this society that the best decisions can be wrought from.
