Is it normal i thought kissing boys in the street was a parody?

I heard the song on the radio a few weeks ago with two friends and we laughed our asses off. We were sure it had to be a joke like Adam Sandler's Hanukkah Song or something like that. I later read that it's a real song which most people find " inspiring and heartfelt". I can't take it seriously. I'm not anti gay and I like other songs by gay artists like Sam Smith and Brandi Carlile. I think Elton Johns one about AIDS is really good.
Am I a jerk or is this song unintentionally funny?

After hearing "Uhn Tiss Uhn Tiss" by The Bloodhound Gang, part of me is convinced that "Sexyback" and "Rock Your Body" by Justin Timberlake are parody songs in the same vein. Given the fact that Justin Timberlake was one of the people responsible for "Dick in a Box", it wouldn't surprise me.

Yeah, I think Sexyback was intentionally tongue-in-cheek, but it IS a serious release. It's not a novelty song. By the way, parodies aren't just funny songs, they're spoofs of other popular songs with new, funnier lyrics.
