Is it normal i used to despise being a called a “little kid?”

Tbh I never liked it, even when really young, but when I turned 10 it REALLY started to bug me. Through that age I tried my best to prove how “grown up” I was and I felt very insulted when people suggested I was practically still a toddler, despite having already started puberty and masturbating.

Obviously it seems stupid now, but I wanna know if anyone else experienced something similar.

    Yeah kids and young teenagers like to feel like adults. It's because they're stupid.
