It doesn't matter if they're my cats or stray cats. I've to hug and kiss a cat at least once a day or else I will feel this weird lonesome and sad feeling nesting on my chest throughout the days. I also freaked out if I realized I haven't seen a cat for a day.
My cat is by my side at this very moment! It's 5 o'clock in the afternoon, thunder is rolling, and rain is starting to pour from from the sky.
I have just given my Siamese cat a kiss, and a couple of treats for no reason other than gracing me with his presence. He seems to always be by my side despite my unworthiness, of his naturally doting, sometimes demanding nature. I do oftentimes feel a sense of of sorrow that my feline companion has never had any other animal friends. He is fond of friendly, gentle dogs. Never have I met a cat so obedient that when he called to my attention an injured bird in our old garden in Las Vegas I only had to tell him, "no", once. Imagine if other cats, dogs, and even humans could have such sensible, and gentle dispositions. He is the definition of a good kitty!
Being the dog person that I am, I love your kitty stories, especially now since mine is 9 months old as of yesterday. I totally get it now. Totally, and I love every moment of it 💖

That's too bad. I would've gone crazy if I were in your place with no cats around.
There are 2 neighborhood cats that hang around in my yard but they don't let me get close enough to hug them... I'm trying to get them to like me though :]
My 1 and only cat died 6 years ago, I don't think I could ever replace him. But there is also a no-kill animal shelter nearby where they have probably about 50 cats in rooms to be hugged and kissed by whoever visits.
