Is it normal i want a catheter due to dodgy bladder??

early 30s f, cerebral palsy sufferer, bladder so small it might as well not exist. Top half ok, bottom half screwed up. I can be chatting as normal then all of a sudden I can be in so much pain I can't move, talk, or think properly. I feel like a balloon about to burst and i've been in tears from it Those I know with catheters sit better, look better and seem happier. I have a big line between my eyes.

I've also got a dodgy throat. It gets so dry it hurts, so I drink a lot. When my parents found the blue leaflet about the suprapubic (inside from stomach) catheter insertion they went white. They're still not happy, but i'd love to be able to live without being 10ft from the toilet. is it normal to want a catheter??

Don't get a suprapubic, just get a Foley.

I think you sound like a good candidate for some type of catheter but your doctor can help you decide what's best.
