Would it be rude or sound clingy if I ask my friend if I can meet up with just her because I want to catch up with her !? Haven't seen her in over a year and we are going to meet half way because she lives very far away? Can I ask this ?

    I can relate to this. I have a friend who for the last few years seems joined at the hip to his partner. I just want to catch up with him most of the time, but she's always there no matter what. Kinda weird.

    Tell your friend you want some girl time , I've had to do this. You don't want your reunion to end up ruined because someone feels like a third wheel
