Is it normal i will get more upset at my cat dying than my dog?

I have both but I feel much more emotion for the cat. Not that I don't like the dog but I think I'll be moderately sad when she goes. If I think about my cat dying I get all teary and I know I'll fall apart way more. Idk why .

    i prefer cats because of the fact that with dogs you are their world but with cats they have their own life outside of your house

    We all have our favorites. I'm more upset about my cat that I lost on October 20th than some other cats I've had in the past. I'm actually considering getting a tattoo of his face.
