Is it normal i wish some of the fan fiction i would be made into novels?

I have read some very long fan-fictions. Which have given me hours of joy since I have something fun to read. A few times have actually printed out a few of these stories and have discovered they are up to 79 pages long. That was only in 22 chapters as well. I really enjoy the creativity of these writers and though they mearly expanded on anothers idea. Which is kind of ripping them off, I wish they would make these novels. Which the original writers consent of course.

Well 50 Shades of Grey used to be a Twilight Fanfiction.

    • How did they get away with that? Doesn't that go against the copyright laws?

They changed the characters' names and details about their physical appearances. Tons of people do it; look up "Captain Ersatz" on TV Tropes for more examples.

Try getting them published, perhaps you could call them children books and make a pretty nice penny.

i read and write fanfictions two. i read a particularly long series (one of which was around 42 chapters long) and whish i could have a hard copy. (alicia vale/vail's story if you're wondering). also, i highly recommend avoiding 'my immortal'. if you look it up, you will find that it is seen as the WORST fanfiction, or story for that matter, ever written. look it up. it is truely awful.
