Is it normal i wonder who will remember my birthday
I deactivated my facebook account for the first time in my life because I dont want to have anything to do with fake people anymore. I cant get myself to delete them though as they are people I have considered friends and I cannot handle all the possible questions once they'd actually notice I had deleted them, and explaining to them the pain they have caused. Some people do not deserve explanations and more opportunities to fake apologies to ease their own minds and then keep acting the same way as before because they couldnt actually care less. That's normal because some people for some reason pretend to care because they collect social contacts like others collect pretty rocks, but that's not for me.
My birthday is coming up in a week. I wonder which ones will even remember it now that Facebook won't remind them. It probably should not matter as most of the time it's fake. People who never speak to you and never has all of a sudden gives a crap, you know. At least for how long the seconds of putting "happy birthday" on your timeline takes! For all I know they're only doing it to be done with "todays good deed" so they can feel a little better about themselves. Yeah social media is fake and it's taken me far too long to notice.
I understand why people like my ex loathed social media now. He didn't even want to have anything to do with his friends on social media, probably because he could see how fake they acted on there.
Yet it feels scarily impossible to 100% cut ties with it, but maybe in modern society it is.
