Is it normal if you feel awkward meeting someone you've been texting a lot?

This always happens to me. Ill meet someone in person, exchange numbers and were getting along so much but in texting. As we text how we cnt wait to see each other, or sexting, I cant help but feel awkward thinking bout when we meet for the first since we met after getting a long so well in texting or on the phone, online, etc. In the end, sometimes turns out yeah I had a reason to feel awkward cause it was so not like on the phone, almost like a creep. So Ive hidden from them in person cause itll just be weird like oh hi bye when in texting were like "hey baby! Hahahaha" So weird and awkward, I wanna put an end to that and bring out the spirit on the phone, in person! Doesnt even have to be an interest, it could be friends that you thought could be kool but it was different on the phone.

    That's why I don't text people I don't know very well.

    I'd recommend... if you don't want to meet them for real, don't waste your time texting them.

    I mean you already know that what you see in person isn't what you got on the phone. Keep in mind then that they may be thinking the same thing about you.

    Ugh thats how it was with my last boyfriend,wed see each other sometimes but wed miss each other a lot, so wed talk on msn and the phone about cuddling and never letting go of me bullshit etc.
    then when we finally see each other its like "Omg i missed you! Me too!" Then awkwardness happens and i got no idea what to even do afterwards.

    lol well given it takes no confidence to text somthing dirty call sum 1 hunny or babby when ur not face to face for the embarrassment or let down if they dont return u coming onto them but, texting and fb myspace msn twitter there all ruining our face to face social skills,
