Is it normal meditation kind of scares me?

Ok, it’s not like I have a phobia of it or anything, but the more I think about it the weirder it is. It has actual physical affects on you, and I even remember watching this video in school where these Shaolin monks were able to resist pain from years of meditation. I’ve been into some weird occult stuff before, but that kind of stuff was usually only known about by people who did them, the fact that meditation is mainstream and is actually recommended by health professionals is kind of bizarre. And I’m still not in the clear on where it came from, even google searches can’t seem to find the answers. Idk, I just really wish I had the mind of a child again so I wouldn’t be so skeptical, this doubt has really been hindering me lately.

    It's totally normal,you may have not even fears but thoughts. It happens to us every so often. How is it made? Why? If it grows into a deeper thinking/ worry you may need to consult a therapist or even just a friend (cheaper).
