My bf is addicted to weed and has started lying to me. He smokes it several times a day, everyday. It doesn't bother me that he smokes but is it normal for him to lie about hiding money/rent, borrowing money for weed? I don't know what to think.
Oh dear, it sounds like it's got a bit out of control. The actual substance isn't addictive, but he's become addicted to the use of it. And if he's lying about money and stuff... that's not ideal. Could you speak to him about it and encourage him to at least cut down? Would be a start.
Yeah it's normal. I usually borrow money once a month for weed. But that's when I'm single, and have nothing better to do with my time. And if he's hiding/lying about it, then he knows he is addicted/doing something wrong, and is ashamed.

Weed is proven to be less addictive than coffee. He is just wants to make sure he can get high because its awesome and lies so he wont be judged.
Yeah you should expect it from stoners they are pretty unintelligent and can't keep a job because of the addiction
hey I was a stoner junior/senior year of high school, still had high grades and have kept the same job during that even though it was only at an amusement park, so dont lump all stoners into one group not all of them are idiots
I wouldn't say he is dumb, he has kept his job for a long time and he has a better position than me. I am sorry although he has flaws he is able to function. No issues apart from that one time he lied about money.
I usually just give like 5-10 bucks to my friend and we hang out once a week and smoke, he does it almost everyday but I just don't really feel the need to do it that much, if your boyfriend loves you he should stop lying and cut down on the weed.
