Is it normal my cat just defended the camper we live in?

About a month ago my cat and I moved into a camper in an rv park that is cat friendly with no dogs. The sun is actually out today so I left the door open to get some air. Well, my cat Lucy was sitting a few feet back from the door when she suddenly screamed at an approaching cat that had stepped his front legs onto the step of the camper and peeked in at her. I just hope she doesn't treat other cats that way when she goes catting around and it was more of a territorial thing. I do appreciate her situational awareness though.

    You should talk to her teachers and see how she behaves in school.

    Of course it's normal. That's her home and her territory area now. Cats don't like strange cats invading it. But they may get used to each other.

    My cats are pretty defensive. I think of s burglar broke in the cats not the dogs would arrack!

    What... no dogs? Yeah, my cat is more into dogs.

    I once had an orange three-legged cat who went ape shit on this black cat who was his close, warm, personal friend, because he unintentionally spooked and scared our Sheltie puppy!
