Is it normal my cat keeps nesting?

My cat keeps nesting. He does nest a lot but he not coming out of his nesting spots anymore. When I say NESTING I mean he finding spots to borrow and hide. Like an animal making a nest would do. I know this is normal for cats but hes not coming out from his hiding spots. I closed off his nest spots and he nests somewhere else.
