Is it normal my cat takes a massive dump all the time?

I have owned many cats in my life but never one like this. This cat always takes a massive dump and meows as she does it. Sometimes she will poo outside the box too. Also she likes to stand on the edge of the litterbox as she poos. She also gets poo stuck to her butt that i have to wipe off with baby wipes. This has been going on since we adopted her. I guess i should not even have to ask is it normal because other cats i have owned never had this problem. But what could be the cause of this?

Take her to the vet. It could be a digestive issue.

    • Yes i think i will have to. I think you are right about that because this cat eats like a pig. My other cat only eats this one dry food and when i leave food for him she will eat most of it. I have been trying to only leave that out when he is hungry but not so easy all the time when im leaving for work.

She is taunting you. She is showing how domesticated she has made her humans. She is simply saying, "No matter how much I shit or how messy it is, you will clean it up and give me the means to do so again. This is your purpose. Not art, not knowledge. Those are The tools we use to keep you believing you have some semblance of control. Silly biped. "

Yes, cats are often cunts, 'tis normal.

    • I do believe cats are natural aholes but from what ive seen, when its a problem with going to the bathroom, its usually either a digestive problem or a territory problem (usually because there are lots of stray animals near the house).

Probably needs wet food or more water, get her a fountain a lot of cats who only eat dry food don't drink enough, the flowing water is more appealing to them.

my newest cat who we've had for about three months takes the hugest smelliest dumps many times every day and all types and brands of food do it and the vet can't find a single thing wrong with her so it's normal. what she definitely is not doing is taunting you. she's not like "revenge pooping." cats don't have the ability to think in that way.
