My dog sleeps beside me all the time but if I fart she gets right up and runs off. It's weird because she used to sniff my farts and seemed to rather enjoy it but now she acts all offended!
Maybe it's not the smell, but the sound? Sometimes a really loud and abrupt fart can frighten an animal. So far my cat doesn't seem to mind my farts.
Normal she runs away, not normal your farts are so bad she has to! Do you run away from hers, by the way?
How has your relationship been lately with your dog? I don't want to pry and get all personal but I mean if she used to enjoy your farts and now she runs away, maybe there is a deeper psychological reasoning behind this. Try looking into your pets eyes before and after you feed her. It could be a trust issue. I'm not an expert on these types of things but it's just something to consider.
