I'm scared it's going to be shit, I'm actually really worried about it. Is it normal to feel this way about a movie sequel?
So what if it's shit? What will come of it? You've still got the first film.
Omg. I feel the same way. I'm nervous for it after seeing the trailer on Jimmy Fallon. I LOVE Dumb and Dumber!

The trailer was hilarious. Jeff Daniels and Jim Carey aren't going to screw this one up. Trust me....they've been sitting on the sequel for like 15 years...waiting for the perfect script.
The first one is a family favorite (even my strict, no-nonsense grandfather loved it, may he rest in peace), but our opinions are all divided on what the quality of the sequel will be.
In my opinion, based on the trailer, it looks like the sequel will just be going for cheap gross out humor rather than playing off of the main characters' stupidity like the first one did.
I loved the first movie too but there's little anyone can do to make it just as origional as the first Dumb and Dumber. A lot has changed since then so it'll just be new and radical, taking a few cues from the first one and for the most part making it one heck of a funny package.
Ninja edit : taking cough syrup while I type this, not that it matters but I just felt the need to mention that I have this nasty sensation in my mouth that no fries or ketchup can obviate. ugh.
