Is it normal my friend is brown and still tans?

My friend black and she still try to tan like a white girl. She purposely goes out and lies in the sun with no fucking sun screen trying to go from brown to "dark chocolate". It look like she trying to go for that burnt toast look to me.

    Chill. It's her body, not yours, and she can tan if she wants. It's not a huge deal to want a darker skin color, why do you think white people ever tan? Because they want to be pale?
