Is it normal my laundry smells because i washed it?

My laundry smelled when I put it in the washer but that is why I was washing it. After I put it in the dryer it smelled as if I ran it trough the sewer drain. It didn't even smell this bad going in. Why does it smell now? I have class to go to tomorrow and my clothes smells like a toilet!

    its your washing machine. it most likely from dirt caught in the basket and its growing bacteria. run some bleach in your machine and let it soak. that should get rid of the odor.

    Check the hot air vent and also check your exhaust and filter as well for any obstructions.
