Is it normal my pants smells like poop

When I take a dump at work, I wipe really good and then I go back to my seat and start working but usually after a while I can kind of smell something awful odor from where I'm sitting. And I don't know why if I wipe good then why this happens. I always get scared that someone else might be able to smell it too.
