Is it normal my vagina itches like crazy days before period

My vagina itches like crazy and feels very sensitive in the days following up my period. There are no pimples or anything but it just itches like crazy, this started about 4 months ago. Has anyone experienced this?

    Maybe a hormone thing, or something similar. Check with GP it totally worried but it should be okay. I get wierd Boob lumps lol. :)
