Is it normal no one seems to know anything about group homes?

On the internet you usually can find just about anything. Yet when you look up group homes there is virtually no information about it. Are they really that rare and hidden?

As someone who lives in one of said group homes, who's on the younger end of the spectrum (early 30s), the hardest thing to deal with is the lack of people you can have a conversation with and the petty comments and jealousy. I'm not good with sudden noise, there's lots here. I'm afraid of shouting as well, and it's an everyday occurrence here.

I get asked why I'm here a lot, by staff, cos I could easily live in the community with few daily visits. The help I get is good, as they go, in most it isn't –- the thing is the livelier the residents are, the worse the care you get is.
If you want more info, read any of Joanne Harris's stories about Faith and Hope.

try google. cause im pretty sure if you type group homes into google, it'll have many results, and also possibly show you the ones closest to you and give you a definition and there are pictures and links to some of the website you can go to find information on them. however, people who arent in those "homes" tend to be very ignorant about them.

and some people are just ignorant... *
