Is it normal people do not realize the pandemic is hurting housing/jobs
I find it odd people still believe homeless are all mentally ill or drug addicts when several have lost housing and jobs due to this pandemic. Like do people not go outside?

Normal people will figure something out before they end up in tents. Homeless are still worthless trash.
I think the drug addicts do make it harder on the people who really are in trouble. Because now you just assume they're all like that. But many are. You can tell by looking at them often that they're on drugs at that moment.
When I was younger I saw this totally different. I felt alot of pity on them all. I gave money to them all the time. Now that I'm older I see it differently. If theres hiring signs everywhere thats on them.
Yeah if you have mental health problems and such it's very hard right now. It's harder to get support to get into a workplace and less places hire new people as well as the competition being bigger since many people have lost their jobs.
"I find it odd people still believe homeless are all mentally ill or drug addicts"
Can't say for the rest of my state or country but literally all of the homeless people in my neighborhood are drug addicts (specifically pill poppers) & I know that for a fact because they all buy from my drug dealing family members.
"several have lost housing and jobs due to this pandemic."
I guess I can say we were lucky. I don't know a single person personally who lost their job or house do to covid, mater of fact not a single store closed in my town or neighboring towns.
You do realize you are not the entire country. I know several and personally have had housing/job insecurity. In fact several reports have been made on this in the news. Being very charismatic and having a decent 5 year resume means I can find a new job very quickly. However, that does not change that the job market is not secure right now and that also means one day paying rent can just not happen because whatever company you worked for crashed under the pandemic.
"You do realize you are not the entire country."
& you do realize I said 'Can't say for the rest of my state or country'/'I guess I can say we were lucky', I was speaking from personal experience not the entirety of the country. Read more carefully next time.
"However, that does not change that the job market is not secure right now"
Never said it was, again was speaking from personal experience & also that's not everywhere in the country like where I live (TN) or Texas, Mississippi, Louisiana & Michigan.
