Is it normal reading makes me crazy?

I read a lot of fiction books. My favourite books are those about people who are delusional or losing their minds. But when I read I really get into the mind of the character. Or they get into my mind. I feel what they are feeling, I experience what they are experiencing. I catch their crazy. I feel like I'm losing my mind with them. Is this normal?

Write a book about yourself reading these books. Double the pleasure.

I would consider that a gift. I'm the same way. Being able to get their readers to become emotionally connected with what they wrote is the ultimate goal of most authors. Now, if you're getting unhealthily involved, as in to the point where it's adversely affecting your ability to function in life, then perhaps you should take a step back and evaluate if there are any parts of your own life that feel incomplete or wrong. In psychology, it's called dissociation; you find ways of checking out of your own reality in order to avoid having to directly deal with problems you either don't know how or want to face.

Take a break or stop reading those types of books altogether. It's not risking your sanity.

On the flip side, you sound like you would make the perfect actor, since you're able to get yourself so deeply into these characters that you become them... Think about it.
