Is it normal recruiter can not read my eye prescription?

I brought in my prescription since I knew I would need it. However they said it was not good enough and to get a new one. the new one says the same as the new one. So I dont think the recruiter will understand this one either. What do I do? I cant go to meps till they understand it.

Keep in mind that just because this person is a recruiter, does not mean that they are the sharpest knife in the drawer. Ask them right out, "what exactly does this piece of paper, from my eye doctor, have to say to make you happy?" Write down exactly what they say, go to your doctor and tell him to give you a prescription that exactly matches everything the recruiter told you. Your doctor will do that. The recruiter is trying to tell you that but you are not catching on. He is telling you to get a piece of paper that he can accept and you are in. Does that make sense?

Oh, don't worry, the military will test your eyes and there will be no question as to being able to read the results.

    • I can not go to meps unless the recruiter can figure out my prescription. That is the bottom line. They already said so. So no it does not work that way or I would not care. To enlist you have to first pass meps, if I cant go to meps I can not join.

If they want you, they will make it easy. If they don't, well I guess you can figure that out for yourself....

        • They said I got a really good score, they just need to know my astigmatism since it might possibly disqualify me and I would need a medical waiver.
