Is it normal she assumed he was bad because he was playing bayonetta 3?

Long story short this new guy was on his Nintendo Switch with headphones on in the breakroom and this new nosy woman bothers him and tells him that only men who treat women like meat play Bayonetta and that women don't like her because she's unrealistic. He tries to say something but she's rambling on and on interrupting him. I, a woman then pull out my Switch, turn it on and show her that I too have Bayonetta 3. I then ask her if she thinks I treat my women like meat. She didn't answer. She gave up and walked away. I don't think she expected a foil at that moment. I told the new guy to disregard her and enjoy his game.

This post has "and then everyone clapped" vibes. What's so special about you that she remained silent and wouldn't accuse YOU of treating women like meat when she had no problem accusing your coworker of that?

It's also weird that she'd essentially try to strike up a conversation. Usually when someone takes issue with something another person enjoys, they try to shit on it to take some of the enjoyment away. Walking up and saying "you're playing Bayonetta? That game is shit, what's wrong with you" would be a lot more expected than saying "you treat women like meat because anyone who plays that game treats women like meat" followed by continued rambling even though your coworker couldn't hear her

I haven't played any of the Bayonetta games but they look all right. I just almost get the impression that this post is an exaggerated story to cover your own insecurity for liking a game

I have the feeling that OP is a woman.

Bayonetta in general is meant to be an excessively sexualized character, so I could understand how someone could such an opinion of those games.

I feel stupid now lol. I fell into the mistake of assuming everyone on the internet is male. Gamer girls do have an ability to throw people off, which would make sense why the women just clammed up
