Is it normal she didn't ask me anything ?

I text my what used to be "close friend" the other day. She had lost all contacts due to dropping her phone in the toilet. She also said she had been waiting for me to text for ages so she could get my number. I told her life had been hectic lately and said something in regards to her accidentally leaving her phone in the washing machine in her pocket. She also spoke about her bf, I didn't reply because unbeknown to her, I hate him! She never text back though, asking how I am or anything. It has been about half a year since we last spoke. We have had a rocky friendship. is it normal she didn't even continue conversation when she's apparently been waiting for my text?
